Following up the recent release of their ultra soothing, collaborative EP (m)edian, multifacted talents Ta-ku and Wafia took to the studios of triple j to perform something special for “Like a Version” with a special stripped back version of their single ‘Love Somebody’ and a cover of a 90s classic.
Earlier this year, Perth producer and mood maestro Ta-ku collaborated with Brisbane-based singer-songwriter Wafia on the track ‘Meet In The Middle.’
Now the two have released their second single, ‘Love Somebody,’ taken from their upcoming collaborative EP, “(m)edian”, which is due for release tomorrow. Yes!
In a case of if you didn’t know, now you know, we adore WAFIA. And she’s recently shared some new music, in which she joins Thomston on the New Zealand singer’s latest single ‘Window Seat’ which received its first play earlier this week on Australia’s Triple J.

Brisbane native WAFIA has announced a national tour that will feature a string of shows across the country throughout the month of March.
The tour is just the start of what is set to be a memorable year for the up-and-comer, who is coming off the back of her critically acclaimed debut EP XXIX released last year.
Whilst many may not yet recognise her name, Ta-ku recently put WAFIA in the spotlight with their recreation of an Estelle cover, but now WAFIA has managed to put herself in the spotlight with a single that demands your attention.
Heart-melting lyrics teamed with polished production from Ta-ku himself, everyone will know who WAFIA is after hearing this single.
