Last night at the Zhivago show, our photographer Jess Brohier attended on our behalf but the collection as a whole was uninspiring. Last year’s collection was bolder and more daring, as per the meaning behind the name of their label, but this year, we weren’t all that impressed. Check out Jess’ photos and tell us what you think.
Perth’s legendary artist/producer/photographer/creative extraordinaire Ta-ku has been putting together impressively emotionally themed works for some time, and his most recent one, “Songs To Make Up To”, had on it an entire tracklist of tunes evoking all of the emotions you’d expect a work with that title to have.
Unfortunately, we were without one particular cut from the standard body of tracks, and it might be the best one of them all.
Check out the Spotify-exclusive ‘Down For You’ featuring Alina Baraz; co-produced by Atu.
Two of my favourite producers from the Soulection roster – Ta-ku and Atu – have teamed up once again on ‘Long Time No See’, a track featured on Ta-ku’s much-anticipated new EP, Songs To Make Up To.
Hit the link to listen to the dreamy track which provides a good indication of what the rest of the record might sound like.
Songs To Make Up To drops worldwide on June 12.
Betty Tran was one of the most anticipated designers at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia this year and her new collection did not disappoint.
The femininity of her designs reinforced the designer’s inspiration of ‘the strength, passion and love portrayed through the modern woman’.

Australia is quickly becoming the perfect landscape for the ultimate Summer festival. There have been so many different festivals announced recently for the December/January period that I can barely keep up!
Hooch Fest is the latest announcement and is set to rock Mandurah (a short drive from Perth) on December 6. Better hurry up and grab your tickets!
I heard a snippet of the Sydney-based artist’s music this week when I saw he was the support act for New Zealand’s teenage songstress Lorde; and even though I caught the end of his set, I was hooked.
Oliver Tank is a young producer and musician who is turning heads and melting hearts with his enchanting down-tempo electronica.
And most recently, he’s teamed up with the extraordinary producer that is Ta-ku for an enchanting tune.
