A couple weeks ago at Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building, Australian label KOOKAÏ took over the venue to bring their Autumn/Winter collection for 2014 to life with an exclusive invitation-only runway show.
‘With inspiration from New York’s cityscapes and skylines, ‘State of Mind’ embodies the KOOKAÏ woman’s journey through texture, luxurious fabrics and bold new prints.’
Comeback queen Catherine McNeil is in Australia at the moment, and was in town on Tuesday night to unveil KOOKAÏ Australia’s new Spring/Summer 2013/2014 campaign at a runway show held in the Locomotive Workshop at the Australian Technology Park.
The new collection takes inspiration from Mexico and the prints and colours are clearly influenced through all the pieces that walked down the runway.

Last week, whilst still in Sydney, I managed to squeeze in one final event to attend before I was to board my flight: the KOOKAÏ runway fashion show of their 2012 Spring/Summer Collection.
Held at the Sydney Opera House, my friend and I were seated amongst the pretty, popular and some of the most fashionable in Sydney: press, media, celebrities, socialities, reality TV stars, you name it.
