Featuring over 200 works including drawings, sculptures, film, graphics, photography, and ‘Unconscious Contemporary’ a secondary exhibition featuring contemporary surrealist and esoteric artists alongside historical work by Max Ernst, Jean Cocteau and Man Ray.

The Costume Institute organises a spring exhibition each year, the opening of which on the first Monday in May is accompanied by The Met Gala – one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the annual fashion calendar.
