City and Colour are finally back with some new material since their 2013 acclaimed album, The Hurry and The Harm. Yay!
The new single, ‘Wasted Love’ is from their upcoming album, I Should Go Before You, and is a song of confessions about a failed romance.
Been there, done that. Listen to the tune that’s totally relatable.
Confession: I’m a fan of artists covering songs by other artists. Of course, it’s rare to find a good rendition of certain songs especially if you LOVE the original.
But sometimes (rarely), I’ll come across a cover that sounds better than the original.
Case in point: Canadian Dallas Green has covered New Zealand’s Bic Runga for his latest EP of covers.

If you know me at all, you’ll know that I’ve been a fan of City and Colour since his performance at the first Soundwave festival in 2008, and so being in attendance for this particular show felt like I was holding two golden tickets.
An unforgettable performance from a man who writes sincere, honest and thought-provoking music.
A couple of weeks ago on a Monday night, after 12 hours in the office (so much for the 5 to 9 life) and lots of Red Bull in my system, I headed to the Enmore Theatre to watch one of two sold-out side shows of Dallas Green aka City and Colour.
What was the result? A performance that was amazing, intimate, powerful, open, honest, and one that seriously gave me goosebumps.
Former Alexisonfire guitarist and vocalist Dallas Green started City and Colour as a hobby. Now, Green has evolved into one of the most praised acoustic/indie-folk acts to enter the scene in recent times.
Flying over to our shores for the “Groovin’ in the Moo” music festival in May, City and Colour recently announced a few sideshows around the country following a sold-out tour last year. Grab your tickets fast as shows have already sold out!
