Ta-ku: Sid Pattni – Mr Alpha (Remix)

by

Yep, it’s another post on Ta-ku.

But this one I just could not let go of without saying something about the track.

Originally released by Sid Pattni, and featuring the captivating and moving vocals of Whisky Winter, Ta-ku has put his signature spin on ‘Mr Alpha’, ending in a result that has left me listening to this song on repeat all afternoon.

Ta-ku: Ginger & The Ghost – One Type Of Dark (Remix)

by

A little late on posting this tune from Ta-ku, but even though I haven’t blogged about it, that doesn’t mean I haven’t heard and shared it. This has been a favourite of mine to play at the office. Yep, that’s right. In the corporate office, we listen to Ta-ku. 🙂

Ta-ku has taken on ‘One Type of Dark’ from Sydney duo Ginger & The Ghost, approaching the song the same way he has done with many others. This particular remix is impressive though because he doesn’t disregard the original but rather, reworks it with his own blend of beats and sounds so that they complement each other.

Record Review: Atu – Pictures on Silence

by

Feeling a little uninspired this weekend to really do anything, Soulection delivered the goods with some new music in the form of ‘Pictures on Silence’ by new artist Atu.

It’s exactly what I needed to hear. Soulful tunes with evident influences from the 90s RnB era.

Check out my review of Atu’s ‘Pictures on Silence’.

Ta-ku – 25 Nights for Nujabes: Night 17

by

Night 17 of the Nujabes dedication project brings about deeper emotions and feelings as you listen to it again and again.

Perhaps there is a deeper meaning behind it, or perhaps it’s more beautiful just to leave the track alone.
