After two years of (radio) silence, British soulful synth-pop singer Jessie Ware is back on the scene with a new song highlighting her amazing vocal ability called ‘Midnight,’ which she premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show earlier this week. Listen to it now.
Last week, Jessie Ware released one remix of her song ‘Keep On Lying’ each day, created with some of her favourite producers in Red Bull Studios across the world.
And out of all five remixes, this one was my favourite.
Last Friday saw the official Australian release of Jessie Ware’s much anticipated sophomore record, Tough Love.
Lucky for The 5 to 9 Life, we received an advanced copy of the record and if you’re wondering if the Tough Love is worth the purchase, we suggest hitting the link below to read our review.
Another song has been released from Jessie Ware’s anticipated upcoming record, coming in the form of ‘Kind Of…Sometimes…Maybe’.
Three different words that all reflect along the lines of when we are feeling unsure about something.

Jessie Ware has released the second single from her upcoming album, and recently, fellow UK singer Sam Smith boldly tweeted that he thought her new single was 2014’s ‘Song of the Year’.

Jessie Ware is back!
This week, the British singer-songwriter premiered her song, ‘Tough Love.’
The song is fragile, sleek, elegant, and emotive – the true style of Ware and definitely a MUST LISTEN.
Heard of him?
Well let me introduce you.
Mayer is an insanely talented singer/songwriter from America, with a new album to be released in mid-July. But more importantly, you should know that he has teamed up with the beautiful Jessie Ware for his new single ‘Her Favourite Song’.
Laura Welsh is one to watch in 2013, having already been compared to the likes of Jessie Ware.
Vibrant vocals against electronic beats with a catchy hook to boot? Yes please.
Watch the black and white video to Welsh’s ‘Cold Front’ and be prepared to start singing along to that hook in no time.

“I try to give very little focus on me being a female producer—it’s what I am, but that fact is irrelevant to my craft. That being said, I am very strongly opposed to people treating female musicians (or female whatever) unfairly because of their gender, but let’s keep the playing ground equal.” – TOKiMONSTA
TOKiMONSTA is kicking off her Australian/NZ tour this week and The 5 to 9 Life was lucky enough to grab some time to chop it up with the LA DJ/producer. Check out what she had to say.
