Zedd and Kehlani Team Up For ‘Good Thing’

There’s a difference between solitude and loneliness, and it’s the former that Zedd and Kehlani collaboratively celebrate on 'Good Thing.' The emblem of a radio-driven pop-electronic hybrid, “Good Thing” has a mid-tempo, synth-reliant structure that supports Kehlani’s immediately recognizable vocal. The vocal hook is alluring in its sing-along potential, causing Zedd and Kehlani to check off one of the key constructive boxes for a commercially successful dance-pop record. Listen to it now.

Multi-platinum, GRAMMY® Award-winning artist, DJ and producer Zedd has released his new single ‘Good Thing’ with GRAMMY® Award-nominated R&B sensation Kehlani today.

Zedd first announced the new single last Friday when he posted a teaser featuring the song’s opening staccato melody to much fanfare on social media. ‘Good Thing’ builds with Zedd’s percussive production as Kehlani delicately sings, “I’m good by myself, don’t need no one else, don’t tell me that you got a good thing for me, ‘cause I already got a good thing.”

It’s been a while since I was THIS excited about a song. To me, “Good Thing” brings all of my musical influences together. It has elements of pop, jazz, electronic and even soul. It feels like a journey of all the genres of music I’ve made and enjoyed throughout my life,” shares ZEDD“Getting to work on this song with Kehlani was incredible. She’s such an unbelievable talent and I’m so honored we got to do this song together. “ [sic]
