The Golden Sheaf x Bombay Sapphire Present ‘Canvas Cinema’ at “Spring Days, Sapphire Nights”

Canvas Cinemas joins The Golden Sheaf’s celebration of 'Spring Days, Sapphire nights' with Bombay Sapphire. From now until 31st October, the mainstay Eastern Suburbs location stirs creativity as their leafy garden courtyard is adorned with blue-lit fairy lights and botanicals. Buy a drink from the Bombay Sapphire spring menu, and go in the running to win a double pass experience at one of the screenings. Your spring movie night in the heart of Sydney’s east awaits, nestled in a venue coated in Bombay Sapphire’s iconic blue this season.

The Golden Sheaf and Bombay Sapphire collaborate this spring to present Spring Days, Sapphire Nights, 6 weeks of curated creative experiences served up with mouth-watering cocktails and G&Ts.

Part of the series of events will include ‘Canvas Cinema’ throughout October, transforming The Golden Sheaf’s upstairs Canopy Bar into a VIP cinema that will broaden your creativity and tell inspiring stories across art, fashion, music and culture through a selection of iconic films brought to life on the screen.  

On Thursday, October 3 let art be your vessel when 2002 biographical drama Frida airs, starring Salma Hayek in an Academy Award-nominated portrayal as renowned surrealist Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo. The following week, on Thursday, October 10 deep dive in a culture trip to Tokyo with Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson for Sofia Coppola’s Academy Award-winning film, Lost in Translation. Seminal music flick, Almost Famous will take you back to 1973 with Kate Hudson on Thursday, October 24, before a visit to the Big Apple on Thursday, October 31, stepping inside the world of late fashion photographer Bill Cunningham in the 2010 documentary, Bill Cunningham: New York.

Accompanying the films will be a limited edition Bombay Sapphire Gin & Tonic botanicals menu, placing the recipe in the cinema-lovers’ hands with choices of tonics including Elderflower, Sicilian lemon and more on offer, mixing as you prefer with a range of garnishes across fruits, herbs and spices.
