Returning with her first release of 2019, soulful vocalist Wallace today shares her latest single ‘Jane Doe.’ The Sydney-based Kiwi artist has cemented herself as one to watch in the neo-soul space following a handful of acclaimed singles, with today’s release no exception.

Produced by Dennis Neuer at the infamous Jazzanova Studios in Berlin, ‘Jane Doe’ is a call to women to unashamedly find their name and claim their place. The captivating lyrics explore both Wallace’s feminist ideals and her love of true crime stories. Wallace behind her inspiration:

“I had the many mantras of a podcast I’m obsessed with, ‘My Favourite Murder’ running through my mind while writing the lyrics. They implore women to “F*ck Politeness” in uncomfortable situations and trust your intuition when your inner alarm is going off.”

Fans new and old will be able to catch Wallace in the live domain, when she heads around the country with I Know Leopard this May & June.

Consistently connecting the dots between genres and influences, Wallace’s artistic identity has become uniquely recognisable, with her jazz training and distinct harmonies captivating audiences around the globe.
