After rumours swirled about a potential Beyoncé documentary last week, Netflix has confirmed our suspicions by dropping an entire trailer.
“Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé” will provide an in-depth look at Queen B’s 2018 Coachella performance, delving into the ‘creative concept and cultural movement’ of the show.
The trailer shows behind-the-scenes footage in the lead-up to the performance, and is set to the audio of a Maya Angelou interview.
“What I really want to do is be a representative of my race, of the human race,” Maya is heard saying at the start of the clip.
“I have a chance to show how kind we can be, how intelligent and generous we can be. I have a chance to teach and to love and to laugh, I know that when I finish doing what I’m sent here to do, I will be called home and I will go home without any fear, trepidations, wondering what’s going to happen.”
“Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé” is set to launch on Netflix April 17.
