Jameson Presents ‘JJ’s Place’ in Sydney and Melbourne

Want to head to a free festival of whiskey, beer and live music? This morning, Irish whiskey connoisseurs Jameson announced a free one-day festival in Melbourne and Sydney celebrating all things whiskey, beer, mates and live music. Click through to find out how YOU can attend!

Jameson invites you and your mates to “JJ’s Place,” a one-day festival celebrating all things whiskey, beer and live music. Taking place in Melbourne and Sydney, experience live sets from Rolling Blackouts Coastal FeverThe Delta Riggs and The Gooch Palms, alongside whiskey tastings and live barrel charring with the Jameson Master Distiller and Master Cooper, as they launch the newest addition to the family – Jameson Caskmates IPA edition – whiskey aged in IPA beer barrels.

The whiskey is sorted, so Jameson have asked some of their mates, Leonard’s House of Love,Frankie’s Pizza and Continental Deli to come with Jamo-inspired ‘Mates Plates’ while longtime colla-beer-ators Young Henrys will be serving up an event-exclusive Irish Pale Ale to pair with Jameson Caskmates IPA for the perfect boilermaker serve.


Heading to Collingwood’s Easey Street Showroom on November 24 are Melbourne favourites Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, injecting JJ’s Place with a dose of their Australiana tinged surf-rock, that earned their debut album Hope Downs a triple j Feature Album. Bec Sandridge’s impeccable guitar prowess will invite you down the rabbit hole with a whiskey in hand and your best mate by your side, while three-piece punk outfit Bitch Diesel and resident PBS DJs will share their recipe for raw rock’n’roll, proving the ultimate tribute to mateship.

South Yarra institute of burger boxes and loaded fries, Leonard’s House of Love will pop up at Easey Street Showroom, bringing food and a doubles competition on their famed pool tables to JJ’s Place.


Leading the charge at Commune in Waterloo the following weekend on December 1 are The Delta Riggs, who returned this year with new single “Fake That”. Joining the outfit is Newcastle duo turned American favourites The Gooch Palms, with their entertaining as hell stage presence, while Sydneysider Sloan Peterson will bring her dreamy offerings of guitar pop mixed with garage rock. With Sydney trio Display Homes’ blend of pop and post-punk sounds and FBi DJs rounding out the all-star Jameson line-up, this is a day that will give you and your mates something to toast to.
