When Cardi B released her debut album, “Invasion of Privacy” earlier this year, the Kehlani-assisted single ‘Ring’ was always a stand-out for me, personally.
Perhaps it was due to the fact that I could relate to it on such a deeper level, especially considering all the shit that I’ve been through these past few months and learning who should be in your life and who shouldn’t. You know, the things you learn as you grow older.
Anyhow, this week, the ladies released the official video for their single and I could not be happier.
The visual for the sultry single from Cardi‘s smash“Invasion of Privacy” album is the first look from the Bronx rapper since she gave birth to daughter Kulture Kiari on July 10 and it has a definite mid-1990s, sexy future R&B vibe.
The clip goes along with the song’s theme of problematic phone communication with a man, as Cardi and Kehlani can be seen in a phone booth in the sky, tangled in phone wires, and otherwise lamenting the lack of notifications.
