DJ, TV Presenter, Radio Host, Beauty Youtuber, Podcaster and Writer - These are all the hats that Sydney's own FLEXMAMI wears and we were lucky enough to grab some time out of her busy schedule to create a playlist for us. Grab your headphones, turn up the volume and get ready to listen to her chosen tunes.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock and/or don’t like to leave your house at night, you should be well-versed in who FlexMami is.
Also known as Lil, FlexMami is a Sydney based DJ, Writer and Presenter and is one of the more sought after female DJs on the club circuit at the moment, supporting some of the bigger international names in the industry. We’ve seen her cover the support slot for such artists as NAO, Joe Kay, and SZA, just to name a few. Impressive, right?
Running on a very busy schedule, we recently collaborated with the superwoman to create a playlist for us here at The 5 to 9 Life. Check out her after-hours party playlist below.
THE 5 TO 9 LIFE x FLEXMAMI PLAYLIST:
Check out her comments on each track below:
Azealia Banks – Movin’ On Up
“A huge new track from my problematic fave – it’s such a big moment though!”
Kota Banks – Zoom
“An extreme Afro-infused tune from Australia’s very own. Can’t go through the day without it.”
Hoodboi x Tkay Maidza – Glide
“This hugely smooth tune from Hoodboi and Tkay Maidza is exactly what I want from a song. Moody, yet upbeat melodies, singing, rapping, memorable baselines and an unexpected beat change. Yes, please!”
Calvin Harris x PARTYNEXTDOOR – Nuh Ready Nuh Ready
“With 80’s infused synth-pop production coupled with PartyNextDoor’s infectious Patois lyrics, this track is the epitome of a summer vibe. Calvin can do no wrong.”
Rae Sremmurd x Swae Lee x Slim Jxmmi x Juicy J – Powerglide h
“If your shoulders don’t start bopping immediately, then there’s a problem.”
Anderson .Paak – Luh You
“An oldie but a goodie. It’s like an angel has bottled up 5 litres of love, happiness, clarity and spontaneity and gifted it to you on your birthday. A gift that keeps on giving.”
Wretch 32 x Kojo Funds x Jehlani – Tell Me
“There are few things I like more than this track. Afrobeats is the vital ingredient to a good time.”
VanJess x Goldlink – Through Enough
“A strong pre-party groove moment.”
DEAN x Syd – love
“I’d recommend playing this one while driving with the top down. If you don’t have a car or a convertible, listening to it on the train while looking out the window will do the trick.”
Snoh Aalegra – Worse
“End your night with this one. No questions. Just do it.”
If you’re keen to catch FlexMami perform live, she’ll be performing at the free Neighbourhood Watch party this weekend.
