Drake has just released the new video for his most recent single ‘God’s Plan.’ Yesterday, the Toronto rap megastar teased the video saying it is “the most important thing I have ever done in my career” over on Instagram.
Directed by Karena Evans, the clip begins with the following statement: “The budget for this video was $996,631.90. We gave it all away. Don’t tell the label.”
Filmed in Miami, Florida, the ‘God’s Plan’ video up-ended the usual lavish efforts from music production companies, and instead showed Drake handing out wads of cash to struggling families, toys to children, scholarships to students and cheques to a women’s shelter and a youth club in Miami.
It’s a heartwarming warming clip and Drake sure does make a lot of people really happy. But even if he wasn’t giving away money, I’m sure that if Drizzy approached you, you would have a smile on your face too. Amirite? 😉
The Canadian rapper followed it up with a challenge on Instagram urging his fans to “go out and be nice to each other.”
