Watch Drake Give Away Almost A Million Dollars in His New Video

After weeks of hype and build up, Drake returns with his highly anticipated new video for 'God’s Plan.' The Toronto native invades the internet yesterday with the new visuals, directed by Karena Evans and Director X and “cost” $996,631.90, all of which was given away through numerous charitable acts. Watch it now.

Drake has just released the new video for his most recent single ‘God’s Plan.’ Yesterday, the Toronto rap megastar teased the video saying it is “the most important thing I have ever done in my career” over on Instagram.

Directed by Karena Evans, the clip begins with the following statement: “The budget for this video was $996,631.90. We gave it all away. Don’t tell the label.”

Filmed in Miami, Florida, the ‘God’s Plan’ video up-ended the usual lavish efforts from music production companies, and instead showed Drake handing out wads of cash to struggling families, toys to children, scholarships to students and cheques to a women’s shelter and a youth club in Miami.

It’s a heartwarming warming clip and Drake sure does make a lot of people really happy. But even if he wasn’t giving away money, I’m sure that if Drizzy approached you, you would have a smile on your face too. Amirite? 😉

The Canadian rapper followed it up with a challenge on Instagram urging his fans to “go out and be nice to each other.”
