NZ Label ZAMBESI Returned to MBFWA Looking Through A ‘Kaleidoscope’

ZAMBESI returned to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia after a four-year hiatus and was one of the few brands to show both men’s and women’s wear on the runway. With their new collection, 'Kaleidoscope,' the New Zealand label delivered a strong selection of ready-to-wear pieces. Click on through for our review. All photos by Jess Brohier.

Founded by Elisabeth and Neville Findlay in 1979, ZAMBESI possesses a consistent and unique signature and is proudly made in New Zealand.

Epitomising individual spirit and redefining convention with an ironic practicality, ZAMBESI made a blazing to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia this year (after a four-year hiatus) to present their new Resort 2018 collection, ‘Kaleidoscope,’ which blurred gender lines through innovative textiles.

The directional tailoring the brand is known for was featured on elegant suiting and chic dresses. Sheen clearly played a major part in the curation of everything from their clothes to the make-up on the models.

There was a playful element with the polychromatic sequined pieces which we absolutely loved (Check out those shoes!) and the sheer trenchcoats, bombers, skirts and dresses in iridescent organza also had people talking.
