When I first read this headline, various thoughts ran through my mind, such as:
‘WHYY???’
‘Do we really need a documentary on the life of Heath Ledger?’
BUT the more I saw the news piece appear in my feed and various emails, my curiosity got the better of me and I watched the trailer.
And?
Well.. I’m not crying, you’re crying.
Heath Ledger died in 2008, just before the release of The Dark Knight in which he gave an unforgettable performance as the Joker. “I Am Heath Ledger” celebrates his life and art, and features interviews with his friends, family and fellow actors, as well as previously unseen footage from the lens of his own camera.
It airs on Spike 17 May, but will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on 23 April and will be available to watch at select cinemas on 3 May.
