Vince Staples Releases Fiery New Single ‘BagBak’

Listen to the brand new single from Vince Staples Bagbak,' his first track of 2017. He releases this track in anticipation of his upcoming U.S. tour with Kilo Kish and it's definitely got us hungry for more from Vince.

As an interviewee, Vince Staples is one of our favourites to watch. The young rapper from Long Beach, California is wise beyond his twenty-something years and articulates his answers in such a way that you wouldn’t expect.

Much like his interview answers, his songwriting within his raps and songs are very much the same. His new single of 2017, ‘BagBak’ is a politically-charged single that couldn’t come at a better time, what with everything that’s going on in the world right now. Don’t make me go there.

Prison system broken, racial war commotion
Until the president get ashy, Vincent won’t be votin’
We need Tamikas and Shaniquas in that Oval Office
Obama ain’t enough for me, we only getting started
The next Bill Gates can be on Section 8 up in the projects
So ‘til they love my dark skin
Bitch I’m goin’ all in

For good measure, watch one of our favourite interviews of the young Vincent Staples below with ‘Ebro in the Morning’ mid-last year. You might laugh; you might learn something. Either way, enjoy.
