PICTURE THIS: HIP HOP and YOGA.
Yes, it’s been done before but this new event promises to be different!
After selling out in less than a week in Melbourne, “All of the Tights” is ready to take Sydney on a path to more success – more specifically, at the Beach Road Hotel in Bondi! Location, Location!
Melbourne’s party-princess DJ MIMI and Yogi extraordinaire Naya Marie will be ready to transform Beach Road’s upstairs band room into a Zen palace, where all your downward-twerking dreams will come true. Yiew!
Why should I go? What will I get out of it?
10% of the profits made at “All of the Tights” will be donated to ‘Forever Projects’, an Australian based charity raising money for families in Tanzania. After spending 3.5 years living in Tanzania and adopting 3 children (including twins) the founders of the ‘Forever Projects’ believe that all children should stay with their families. The organisation provides life-saving milk formula for severely malnourished babies, empowerment through education and help families set up businesses so they can live independently.
But what if I’ve never practiced Yoga?
Don’t sweat it! “All of the Tights” is designed for beginners to pros and everyone in-between. Yoga mats are BYO, but there will be a limited number of mats to purchase on the door. Be sure to bring water and a towel as things are going to get as hawt as RihRih and Drake in every film clip they’ve starred in together.
“All of the Tights” is designed to match yoga to the flow of live tunes in a club to create an unintimidating space, where yogis of all experiences can enjoy the incredible mind and body benefits of practicing yoga.
What do I need to know about the hosts?
After having the biggest 2016 ever supporting TLC (Damn Gina) and playing massive festival sets at Splendour In The Grass and Beyond the Valley, Melbourne’s favourite party-starter and one-half of the iconic crew, CRXZY SXXY CXXL, MIMI, will be in charge of the decks.
Expect to practice your Downward-Facing Dog, Warrior II and Triangle poses to the sounds of The 6ix Lord Drake, Kanye, 2017 Grammy-named ‘Best New Artist’, Chance the Rapper, Rihanna, Queen Bey and DJ Khaled.
No stranger to the yoga circuit, Naya Marie is a Sydney based yogi, who grew up in The 6ix and was reared on a steady diet of The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest and Nas. Known for the lightness of her classes, Naya is all about creating dynamic sessions for yogis of all experience levels. With Naya as your guide, blessings will keep falling on your mat! 😉
Okay, I’m convinced. Tell me what I need to know!
