The US-based creative, fashion and lifestyle event, MADE, is coming to Sydney this month. After the global success of MADE events in New York and Los Angeles, Mercedes-Benz is bringing the festival to Carriageworks.
MADE is a celebration of Sydney’s best fashion, skate and music scenes and will feature the latest collection from Parisian streetwear label Faith Connexion. Adored by Rihanna, Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian, the label will host its first-ever fashion show.
Attracted to our city for the way fashion and sport have become intertwined, Mercedes-Benz and Faith Connexion have partnered to replicate the famed San Francisco skating spot, Hubba Hideout. The Hideout will be open to the public throughout the event during Skate Time and will also be used as the runway for Faith Connexion’s fashion show.
Local designers, such as Ella Maximillion, DAISY, Pelvis and Emma Mulholland, as well as international brands BABYLON LA, Places + Faces and SOULLAND, will be available for purchase at The Store – a collection of retail pop-ups. Local designer Emma Mulholland has also designed a limited-edition MADE Sydney x Emma Mulholland T-shirt for the event.
MADE Sydney will also kick off with the world premiere of “The High Life: Slim Aarons”, a documentary about the life and work of Slim Aarons, one of the fashion world’s most beloved photographers.
Food and drink will be available throughout the festival, including from the Benz Bar by Mercedes-Benz.
