Rising artist and multi-instrumentalist Kelsey Lu premiered a new video for ‘Dreams’ this week.
A beautiful woman finds herself getting undressed in reverse or forward, (hard to tell since it’s run backwards) and running through a Joshua Tree landscape.
The vocals don’t even start until four minutes into a soundscape of ethereal looping cello arcs, but when it does, the world opens up to her powerful vocals on a song of ill-fated love.
The video itself is just so beautiful and seductive though. It’ll make you turn off all your other distractions (i.e. your phone) and just concentrate on what is going on in the black-and-white video.
Trust us. Turn off your phone and press play on the video above.
Directed by Alix Brown and shot in California’s Joshua Tree National Park.
‘Dreams’ is taken from her debut EP “Church”, set for an established release July 8 on True Panther Sounds.
