BJ The Chicago Kid Re-Arranges a D’Angelo Classic

BJ The Chicago Kid has decided to honour the 16th Anniversary Of D'Angelo's "Untitled" with a 3-song EP. We've chosen to highlight the title track - because it's our favourite. D'Angelo's was obviously a much-loved track worldwide back in the day - and still is today - but BJ The Chicago kid has managed to flip the track and deliver a cover that's of his own arrangement. Have a listen and tell us what you think.

BJ The Chicago Kid released his “Untitled EP” yesterday (January 1) to honor the 16th anniversary of D’Angelo’s “Untitled.”

The project is a mashup of various covers from D’Angelo’s catalogue. The tracks include ‘She’s Always In My Hair,’ with two cuts from the 2000 album Voodoo, ‘Send It On’ and the hit single we’ve chosen to feature above, ‘Untitled (How Does It Feel)’.

“His musicality is beyond this world,” BJ The Chicago Kid said regarding D’Angelo via press release.

“I had to celebrate his genius by paying homage to his legacy while he continues to kill the game and make great music. It’s a new year and there’s no better way to start it off than taking it back to where it all began for me. This is real soul/R&B.”

And celebrate it, he did. Listen to the whole EP here.
