Off the back of a new single and being included in 2016’s Laneway Festival line-up, Soulection artist GOLDLINK has just announced that he will be headlining two sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne next February.
Yes, yes, yes!
Last time GOLDLINK was in Sydney, he supported fellow Soulection artist Kaytranada and it’s safe to say, he absolutely killed it!
The tour announcement is considered to be great timing too as we will be hearing him perform songs from his debut LP, “And After That, We Didn’t Talk” which was produced by the one and only Rick Rubin. Check out their joint Pitchfork interview here. #MUSTREAD
“The DC rapper is an unapologetic perfectionist. His raps are calculated, executed with a roller-coaster delivery, a distinct voice and unmeasurable cadence. GoldLink’s debut mixtape The God Complex is a journey. It’s a polyrhythmic blend of 90s hip-hop, RnB and sophisticated EDM, and is even more impressive for someone who picked up a mic for the first time just three years ago. In the short space between then and now he’s worked with formidable producer Kaytranada, and toured with genre-bending SBTRKT and has clocked over half a million plays on his latest single ‘Spectrum’ in just a week. Oh, and last year the 21 year old virtuoso made a Song from Scratch with Australia’s own Chet Faker.”
