It’s been awhile since we’ve heard anything from Lauryn Hill – and I, unfortunately, missed the chance of seeing her perform live in Australia last year – but this past weekend, the former Fugees rapper performed a song for Nigeria.
You’re probably wondering, ‘But why?’
Apparently, Hill had to abruptly cancel one of her concerts in Lagos, Nigeria. To make it up to her fans, she gave them a special acoustic performance.
In the clip (above), Hill performs an acoustic version of ‘Doo Wop (That Thing)’ from her classic debut album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”.
The Grammy-winning artist recites the rap from the song while playing the guitar along with her background singers, including her 7-year-old daughter Sarah Marley.
Try not to sing/rap along, I dare you. <3
