Tei Shi: Bassically

Brooklyn's Tei Shi is back with a new single (+ visuals) and has 'Bassically' taken it up a notch. Her new single is a dark pop song with stretching vocals that entice us and leaves us wanting more, more, more!

When you discover a new artist, there’s always that underlying feeling, or rather, a bit of hope that they’re more than just a one-hit wonder, and I’m so glad that Tei Shi is very far from being one.

Known for creating ethereal music, ‘Bassically’ showcases Tei Shi‘s wailing vocals matched with spacey synths and a dense bassline, giving us an infectious tune that is more than worthy of having on repeat.

Progressively building upon itself until just before the song ends, Brooklyn’s Tei Shi proves once again she’s an artist that you must keep on your radar.

On the new video (which was directed by Nicolas Pesce), Tei Shi said: “I wanted the video to look like what the song sounds like – fun and empowering without taking itself too seriously. So we created a fun fictional comic world with a troop of bad ass girls.”

I can’t wait to see what she does next!
