Melbourne’s First Street Store

This is a unique concept that has been popping up all over the world and will be launched for the first time in Australia TODAY. At 12pm, Melbourne will be opening up a space to the disenfranchised community, raising money for those in need. They'll be able to help themselves and choose exactly what they like and need. Melbourne's Street Store will be in Federation Square and will feature the store along with free bottled water, guest DJs, Mr Burger vouchers, and barber grooming services.

This is a cause you need to be apart of!

TODAY, Melbourne will be hosting its first Street Store.

What is it exactly?

“The world’s first rent-free, premises-free, ‘pop-up clothing store’ for the homeless and those in need, found entirely on the street and curated by you.”

Intriguing, right?

“We’re inviting you to get involved, because you have something many don’t – clothes you choose not to wear. Help give those in need the opportunity to have a dignified shopping experience, which for some, might even be their first time at choosing items they actually want. In the spirit of Christmas, show you care for those with daily struggles and make an effort to sit, chat, listen and share. We’re setting out to bridge the gap between the ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots’ and we’re looking for incredible people like you to join us.”

Watch the video above to find out more about the concept and although they’ve already reached their target, more donations are always welcome! To donate or find out more details about the campaign, click here and be sure to drop by Federation Square from 12pm if you’re in town!
