How many times have you been out and seen the battery status of your smartphone at less than 20%? Does your mind automatically shift to ‘Panic’ mode? I’ve certainly been there – especially when I’m out at events and only have my iPhone to take photographs/video footage.
My first action is to close all apps immediately, hoping that will save me some time, although in reality, it was probably too late by that point.
Nowadays, I carry my charger everywhere with me.
BUT Designer Tsung Chih-Hsien has thought up an ingenious idea – and he’s already won a Red Dot Design Award for his tiny recyclable smartphone battery concept!
Entitled “Mini Power”, the batteries come in different sizes, depending on how much smartphone usage time you need – two, four, or six hours. You just plug it in to the bottom of your phone and, when it’s all used up, recycle it.
Tsung says he envisions the biodegradable design to be on sale in convenience stores, where they can just be broken off from a larger perforated sheet.
Fingers crossed this idea hits production soon and onto our shelves!!
Would you use the “Mini Power” portable charger?
