Sam Smith: I’m Not The Only One

This week, Sam Smith debuted his scandalous, fiery and heartbreaking music video for his song 'I’m Not The Only One'. But everything is not as it seems in this emotionally-charged video. Check it out.

Sam Smith - I'm Not The Only One

It’s a sore subject for many.

But it’s exactly the theme that Sam Smith explores in his latest video. I adore Sam Smith. I think he’s one of the best male vocalists in the game at the moment, and his recent album, “In The Lonely Hour” is very reminiscent of Adele’s “21”. In fact, I’ll go one step further and say that in my opinion, Sam Smith is the male equivalent of Adele.

In his latest visual release, ‘I’m Not The Only One’ stars Glee’s Dianna Agron as the jilted wife and Chris Messina (from The Mindy Project) as the sleazy husband. The song itself is heart-wrenching with gripping lyrics accompanied by Smith’s beautiful and haunting voice singing words that are completely relatable.

“I have loved you for many years
Maybe I am just not enough
You’ve made me realize my deepest fear
By lying and tearing us up”

Actually, all this talk of cheating reminds me of a video I saw earlier this week, where couples were put together in a room and a question was given to one partner to ask to the other: What would you do if I cheated on you?

The answers as you can probably predict aren’t exactly the most positive, but remember that it is a hypothetical question. But I know my answer. Do you?

I was once pursued by a guy who had a girlfriend and my immediate thought was ‘No, Thank You’. Some guys really ARE douche-bags. Ugh. Lift up your game, fellas. Seriously.
