Larry King Now: An Interview with Tyler, the Creator

Esteemed journalist Larry King recently interviewed Tyler, the Creator and it was both hilarious and insightful. It's interesting to see that the two individuals, whilst coming from completely different backgrounds, are both respected of each other and genuinely interested in what the other has to say.

Larry King Now - An Interview with Tyler, the Creator

If you didn’t already know, I’m a fan of Tyler, the Creator. As an artist? Sure. But more so as an individual and what he stands for. Why? Because he truly does not give a f&$! about anything or anyone. He does what he wants and says what he wants. And he’s only 23 years old! I’ve previously written about the words he’s expressed and I find those words still remain true today.

During a recent interview with Larry King, the Odd Future frontman spoke his mind about every question that Larry addressed to him. Tyler was an open book, giving genuine answers and holding nothing back about where he came from and his future plans.

Possibly the biggest thing that stood out was when he talked about wanting to move on from rap at some point, and hoping that later in his career, people will know him for things other than rap. I think he’s well on his way with that aspiration.

Tyler, the Creator is a unique person. He’s leading a new breed of individuals. Those who know what they want and are determined to do it, no matter what anyone says. He encourages kids to accept who they are and who they want to be, not settling for what other people tell us or abiding by other’s expectations. I can definitely relate to that and I wish hope to eventually be apart of this new breed.

If you ever need some advice on life, watch an interview with Tyler, the Creator. I’m not kidding. The kid is smart and he knows things – things we didn’t get taught when we were growing up.

By the way, peep the shout-out to both Sydney AND Melbourne in his interview yo! Hells yeah. đŸ™‚

Confession: I quietly freaked out when I saw Tyler recently in Los Angeles. And I’ll be a witness to it: The way he presents himself in this interview is exactly the way he is in person. Wish I could have taken a photo with him but he doesn’t like that apparently. Oh well. We made eye contact though haha.
