Chet Faker: Talk is Cheap

Chet Faker has finally released some new music. The Melbourne-based down-tempo producer recently revealed the details of his highly anticipated debut album, titled 'Built On Glass', and released a new video for the tune, Talk is Cheap. So good.

Chet Faker - Talk is Cheap

Chet Faker.

Ever since I saw the Melbourne songwriter perform his new material at the beginning of the year, I have been waiting patiently for some tunes to be officially released. And thankfully, the time has come in the form of new single, ‘Talk is Cheap’ – and the track-listing for his new album. Yes!

I honestly cannot get enough of this song. Featuring stop motion animation, the accompanying music video is just as compelling.

“Talk is cheap, my darling
When you’re feeling right at home
I wanna make you move with confidence
I wanna be with you alone”

Weaving sensual and soulful R&B-esque vocals with pop melodies and intricate beats, Chet Faker may have released my favourite song for 2014 – so far. Unless of course he releases ‘1998’. That song was the highlight for me from his 2014 Field Day set.
