Today is a special day for those living in Melbourne.
If you haven’t heard of Japanese retail giant UNIQLO, first of all, what’s wrong with you?? And second, well, today (and all of the days ahead until March) the much-loved brand is bringing a pop-up store to 171 Swanston Street, Melbourne for a short term stay.
Coinciding with The Australian Open, tennis superstar and UNIQLO ambassador Novak Djokovic has collaborated with the retailer on its 2014 Australian Open Collection, which will be available for the first two weeks of the brand’s residency.
For non-sports fans, pieces from UNIQLO’s signature clothing ranges will also be on offer.
I can’t tell you the amount of times my friends and I visited the UNIQLO stores in New York and Japan on our recent holidays and walked out with a purchase – because to be honest, I don’t think there was a time where we didn’t buy something, even if it was just a pair socks.
UNIQLO has everything you could want for your wardrobe, and to be honest, no wardrobe should be without a UNIQLO piece.
The pop-up store kicks off today at 11am, but expect to be lining up for a long time. At least, the #MelbourneHeatwave is over, and the weather is cooler. Plus, if you miss out on stepping foot in the store today, remember that it’s open until March.
Woohoo! I think I moved to Melbourne at the right time. 😛
