Nike’s staple silhouettes are slowly and subtly charging as the new season is upon us. The range is a bit deeper with impressive technology platforms (even though only two of the styles will be available in Australia), and they’ve also slapped on a new label by calling them “SneakerBoots”.
The comfort of a sneaker meets the protection of a boot.
Added height, traction, and weatherproofing has evolved the iconic sneaker brand for lightweight functionality and rugged resistance to the elements of its new collection.
NIKE AIR MAX 90 SNEAKERBOOT
The regular version is already iconic and Nike hopes to follow that same trend with the SneakerBoot version. The new kicks feature an internal neoprene collar to promote ankle and foot warmth, as well as support without restriction.
“Reflective accents increase visibility, and the Nike Air Max 90 SneakerBoot still carries the bold colour pops that made the original Nike Air Max 90 legendary.”
NIKE FREE RUN 2 SNEAKERBOOT
“The Nike Free Run 2 SneakerBoot combines the barefoot-like benefits of Nike Free technology with a winter boot height. The deep flex grooves of the Nike Free 5.0 sole and the molded sockliner allow for an optimum range of motion.”
These Free Run Mids are adorned with neoprene and suede black and equally stealthy anthracite overlays. Adding to the complexity, the Free sole has been colour-blocked along the heel. On trend.
The SneakerBoot collection will be available in stores from December 1.
