Anyone who’s anyone is on Instagram nowadays. It’s such a great app. FREE to download and as you’ll see in this documentary, it really does create a community with users all around the world. I’ve managed to connect and grab the attention of a handful of people that I admire and of those who inspire me – just through Instagram.
I found this documentary to be a really interesting watch. I viewed it during my lunch break at my 9-5, and it really gave me more of an insight into how the rest of the world sees the app. There’s more to Instagram than just being another social platform. It’s more than just gaining followers and likes.
Instagram really does make you notice things that you probably would’t have necessarily seen before. It allows you to capture photos of subjects that catches your eye. Sometimes that’s the broader scope of things, but I love photos that capture those finer details.
Whilst a lot of (professional) photographers out there dismiss the app and aren’t thrilled that a million ‘amateur photographers’ have jumped on the scene, if you recall my CARBON Part Two of Day Two review, legendary photographer Martha Cooper has now jumped on the Insta-bandwagon too! You’re never too young or too old to join. You just need a smartphone. 🙂
