Frank Ocean: Lost

Frank Ocean hasn’t released an official video since 'Pyramids', but the Odd Future crooner surprises with the visuals for 'Lost' off his Grammy-winning album 'channel ORANGE'. The split-screen clip features footage of his travels around the world from last summer, playing shows, recording in the studio, and hanging with his Odd Future crew. Prepare to get 'Lost' with Frank Ocean.

Frank Ocean - Lost

This new video from Frank Ocean came out last week during my time in Melbourne and I’ve finally found time to sit down in Sydney and pen my thoughts on the visuals for it.

The song itself is one of those songs from his debut album, “channel ORANGE”, that I’ve always loved. The songwriting, the beat, the vocal range, etc. I could go on about the song. I don’t think that it is a song that I will ever get tired of.

But then again, Frank Ocean himself, is an artist that I don’t think I will ever get tired of listening to.

The video itself is a visual invitation for us, as the viewer, to go on tour with him around the world. The clip is a split-screen travelogue that follows Ocean through places like Dubai, Paris, and Tokyo; and also sees Ocean performing the song at last year’s Coachella.

The video works as a cool, calm, and collected victory lap after an amazing year.

Watch it above.

“Nothing wrong
(Nothing wrong, ain’t nothing wrong)
No nothing wrong with a lie
Nothing wrong with another short plane ride
(Nothing wrong, ain’t nothing wrong)
Through the sky
Up in the sky
You and I
Just you and I”
