Ta-ku – 25 Nights for Nujabes: Night 18

Night 18 calls for a lengthy review. But there was just so much to say about the Night that was inspired by both Nujabes and Goldmund. i'm still buzzing.

“A beat a night for 25 nights in dedication to Seba Jun.
Night 18. Goldmund inspired.
Enjoy.”
– Ta-ku

Before I even hit play on this one, seeing that this Night was inspired by Goldmund made me instantly light up. It was Ta-ku actually who introduced me to the sounds of Goldmund last year through one of his other various mixes/projects, and I am very thankful that he did.

Side Note: I would definitely recommend for everyone to get on top of it and add Goldmund’s record, Corduroy Road to their playlists.

The fact that Ta-ku has chosen to rework Goldmund into “25 Nights For Nujabes” is really taking this entire project/record to another level. There is just so much beauty in this Night.

The music of Goldmund on its own is already beautiful, add in the soulful inspiration of Nujabes and Ta-ku‘s talented producing skills, and I already know that we have a winner on our hands. I really don’t think that I needed to press play on this Night, but I’m still glad that I did. 🙂

When it all comes together, ‘Night 18’ is simply exquisite.

My emotions are running high after listening to this and in my personal opinion, it’s one of the top contenders of the Nujabes dedication project so far.
