Jay-Z: Where I’m From

Watching Jay-Z live in Brooklyn at the new Barclays Centre was an experience in itself during the New York leg of my US trip recently. This week, HOVA released a documentary in the form of a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of his 8-straight shows at the Barclay's Centre. Watch it now.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you should probably know that Jay-Z, besides being one of the most lucrative rappers in the world, is also one of the owners of the Brooklyn Nets. Moving the Nets from New Jersey required a new home for the team, thus the creation of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

With Jay’s 43rd birthday this week, Hova decided to give us a present in the form of this very special documentary titled “Where I’m From”.

Watch the 24-minute short film below.

This documentary definitely takes me back to my favourite US city! Love. Ahh, the memories. 😉

What I love most though, is the rare, captured moment where Jay rides the subway and meets a lady who doesn’t know him.

“Not very famous, you don’t know me. But I’ll get there some day.”

Amazing. Incredible even. So much respect for JAY Z.
Enjoy. I did.
