Andy Allo: People Pleaser

Andy Allo emerges with the long-awaited visual for 'People Pleaser', the super funky number that is to usher in the arrival of her second album, "Superconductor". Elements of Prince are obviously present in this mix of saxophones, trombones and bass licks, all done with pristine precision and spunk by the New Power Generation crew who backs Allo up in a sound that makes you want to get up and dance!

Andy Allo.

This gorgeous singer is something special.

And it’s been one helluva ride for the Cameroonian born songstress/musician since her debut record, “Unfresh”.

This year alone, Allo caught the attention of the one and only purple-loving Prince, who then added her to his new band, New Power Generation.

And now she’s on her way to releasing her follow-up record, “SuperConductor”, due for release this week, and if the first single, ‘People Pleaser’, is anything to go by, then we are in for a fresh and funkier sound than what Allo first introduced us to.

I love her elusiveness and mysterious ways, but I really love the clapping hi-hat, snare, bass–and blazing horns in the track and video above.
