ACCLAIM Magazine. My first (and only) writing internship was with the Melbourne publication. That was about two years ago and I’ve stuck around ever since. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Working with the magazine increased my love of writing (and the city of Melbourne). My experience with ACCLAIM Magazine is one of the main reasons why The 5 to 9 Life exists today. True story.
And now, the awesome people behind ACCLAIM Magazine are making their way down to Sydney in the next couple of weeks to throw a little shindig celebrating their latest issue! Although I won’t be there myself (And I’m really sad that I’m missing out! Honest.), you all should take my place and show up to the launch party of their 27th issue!
“It all goes down Thursday September 20th. Thanks to our friends at The Backroom in Potts Point, we’ll be putting on a night of good tunes, brews and visuals (courtesy of Beastman and Numskull). Kicking off at 7pm, get in early to enjoy the Tiger Beer and Monteith’s Crushed Apple Cider and enjoy sets from Well Dressed Vandals, Captain Franco, Etienne and Grizzy.”
