Nike: Kukini Free

Nike has been infusing many past models with Nike Free technology, and the latest to receive the treatment is the Nike Kukini. The shoe was originally released back in 2000, sporting a unique look that featured a plastic exoskeleton frame and a laceless look and now, a fresh, new design has been released for the Winter months.

If you’re in the market for some no-fuss, slip-on sneakers for the coming Winter months, you’re in luck. Nike has just dropped off two new takes on its Kukini Free.

“Taking inspiration from the track and re-launching the Nike Air Kukini from 2000, the Kukini FREE is the must-have sports luxe sole this Winter.”

As far back as I can remember, when Nike dropped the Kukini’s back in 2000, it quickly rose in popularity because of its extreme comfort. Although not as popular as it was more than a decade ago, it’s still just as comfortable thanks to the addition of the Nike Free outsole.

Designed with triatheletes in mind, the Nike Kukini Free combines style with function. “The Kukini FREE features a Dynamic Fit Lycra Spandex + TPU (Thermal Plastic Urethane) Overlay Upper for increased support and protection, and a Phylon midsole designed on the foundations of the latest FREE sole technology.”

Available in designs and colourways for both the ladies and the fellas, the Kukini Free is available in stores now and online.
