Ikea Darlinghurst (Pop-Up Exhibition)

To celebrate the launch of the Ikea PS 2012 collection (available in store from 1st of August) Ikea is setting up a pop up gallery to showcase the collection. Friday 27th to Sunday 29th July District 01 74-76 Oxford Darlinghurst Sydney 10am-5pm

Who doesn’t love the Swedish brand of designs that are both affordable and innovative furniture in all of its mega-store glory? Honestly, I could spend all day in their stores and walk out not purchasing a thing, because it’s kind of fun to just spend a day in there and dream about what products they have that you would want in your own home. Or as a fellow family member does – go there to enjoy their cheap food! *No names will be disclosed. Haha

These days, it reminds me of Joseph Gordon Levitt and Zooey Deschanel in “500 Days of Summer”. Remember this?

*Excuse the flipped screen. This was the only clip I could find that showed the entire scene.

Anyways, back to the IKEA post.

From Friday 27th – Sunday 29th July, District 01 in Darlinghurst will house the much-anticipated PS 2012 range. The iconic collection is released every three years revisiting classic items from the back-catalogue ‘artfully designed to suit modern homes’.

This sneak peak of the new Ikea PS 2012 Collection revisits some of the brands classic designs from 60 years of Ikea ranges. These have been re-designed with modern demands in mind – think hyper-coloured, modern, innovative forms and sustainable materials.

This extensive collection features a selection of 46 products by 19 IKEA designers whom, from the past 60 years of Ikea’s creations, has found inspiration for today’s lifestyle. So head on down to Darlinghurst’s gallery space, District O1, and check out the range, but remember, you can look but you can’t touch. Well you can touch, but you can’t buy until August 1st.

The one question remains – will there be meatballs?
Guess you’ll have to find out for yourself…
