NBA TV: The Dream Team Documentary

An amazing and engaging hour-long documentary has been released this week following the most incredible team ever assembled: the 1992 United States Olympic basketball squad that participated at the games in Barcelona - the Dream Team. If you're a fan of basketball, you should most definitely watch this.

Last night, although I was pretty exhausted I chose to watch a movie before I slept. My midnight movie session, I guess you could call it since I started watching it at 12am. I honestly thought that I would fall asleep during it but the content within the documentary had me completely enthralled and I ended up watching the entire hour-long documentary.

The documentary in question is the documentary about USA’s 1992 Olympic Basketball team: The Dream Team. I grew up in a house full of basketball lovers but my older brother was the main fan, and of course he dragged the rest of us to follow suit.

Twenty years ago, the Dream Team formed to participate in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Twenty years ago, I was under the age of five and probably did not know what the f*ck the Olympics was but fast forward a few years, and I definitely knew what the Dream Team represented and who was in the Dream Team (thanks to my brother and his love for this particular sport).

Twenty years later, in 2012, NBA TV brings us a documentary on that particular Summer of the 1992 Olympics focusing around the US basketball team. A team that consisted of the best players in the league at the time: Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Charles Barkley, Scottie Pippen, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Clyde Drexler, Chris Mullin, and Christian Laettner. Finally, the untold story of the Barcelona summer has finally been revealed in a highly anticipated documentary.

Press play and watch as the story unfolds. A story that is entertaining and filled with plenty of drama, some of which you probably knew about over the years and some that you might not have.
