City and Colour 2011 Australian Tour

Former Alexisonfire guitarist and vocalist Dallas Green started City and Colour as a hobby. Now, Green has evolved into one of the most praised acoustic/indie-folk acts to enter the scene in recent times. Flying over to our shores for the "Groovin' in the Moo" music festival in May, City and Colour recently announced a few sideshows around the country following a sold-out tour last year. Grab your tickets fast as shows have already sold out!

Although I had hoped to attend “Groovin’ The Moo” this year, I have since had to change my plans and attend the sideshows of those performing artists instead. The one that I most wanted to see is Dallas Green aka City and Colour and after witnessing his spectacular live performance last year, there’s nothing stopping me from going to see him live again this year.

This man is seriously amazing. With an extremely powerful voice, if you don’t know who he is, you would find him quite intriguing upon your first listen of his records. From three records to choose from – “Sometimes”, “Bring Me Your Love” and “Little Hell” – I suggest you pick one and just listen.

What started out as a side project for the Canadian has turned him into one of the most under-rated acts in the industry, and rightfully so.

Check out this 3-part series of the man himself during his sold-out Australian tour for an insight of what to expect at his shows this year. Tickets are on sale now and they’re selling fast!
